Biography:

Michael L. Clark is an advisory research and development engineer with 27 years of service at the Idaho National Laboratory. His experience includes mechanical design, analysis, simulation, fabrication, system integration and testing experience. He has designed cryogenic fluid storage and distribution systems, mixed waste handling equipment, facility support equipment, automated analytical laboratory instrumentation, food preparation and analysis systems, alternative fuels infrastructure and bio-fuel feedstock preparation equipment.

Much of his work experience centers on the design and development of automated and remote mechanisms and systems across a broad spectrum of robotics and environmental application areas. Projects include the design of remote materials handling equipment and facilities, development of automated chemical analysis systems, design and commissioning of alternative fueling systems, modification of aircraft airframes supporting DARPA research projects, and the development biomass processing systems. He currently supports technology deployment for Biofuels and Renewable Energy Technologies programs at the INL.

He is a registered professional mechanical engineer and has held a seat on the advisory board of Eastern Idaho Technical College.
