Biography:

Michael Darby is a member of the Idaho National Laboratory’s Systems Analyses Department. He spent 24 years in the U.S. Navy submarine service, 12 years as a nuclear electrician and 12 years as a nuclear officer. After the Navy, he taught math and statistics at BYU-Idaho. He then went to work in Denver at a data center and then to Fort Greely, Alaska, as an electrical engineer before moving back to Idaho to be closer to his family. Mike earned his master’s in operations research from Naval Postgraduate School and his bachelor’s in nuclear engineering from Oregon State University. He is working on the HFEF DSA implementation project. In his free time he enjoys fishing, camping and four-wheeling with his family.
