Biography:

Ryan Z. Davis is a research scientist at Idaho National Laboratory specializing in renewable energy systems analysis and implementation: photovoltaic, geothermal, wind, HVAC, biomass boiler systems and microgrid control systems. He has experience in mission analysis and planning, risk management, technology readiness assessment, alternatives analysis and systems integration. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s in mechanical engineering from Utah State University with emphases in fluid mixing, fluid transport, instrumentation control, and aerospace systems design. He is currently finishing his doctorate in mechanical engineering at University of Idaho with an emphasis in numerical error and uncertainty analysis. His awards include the 2014 Idaho National Lab Exceptional Contributions Programs Award.
