Ernesto Cespedes, Ph.D.

Biography:
Dr. Ernesto Cespedes has a bachelor's and master's degree in engineering from Tulane University and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University. He is currently the explosives detection program lead and is responsible for developing a comprehensive explosives detection and testing research, development, and demonstration program in support of DOE, DoD, DHS, and commercial customers. In addition, he serves as a project manager/principal investigator for several DHS, DOE, and Intelligence Community-funded sensor development and signal analysis R&D projects. Since 2004, he has also served as INL's representative for DOD's Joint IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO).
