Biography:

Steven K. Cook is a research technician in Idaho National Laboratory’s Radiological, Mechanical & Subsurface group, supporting robotics and remote handling work, radiological source recovery work, bioenergy research and spark plasma sintering. Before joining INL he was a research technician for the Center for Space Nuclear Research, acting as a spark plasma sintering senior operator, handling and weighing powders and building technical experiments for high temperatures and high-pressure systems at INL. He has extensive experience as a decontamination technician, at the Oconee, Enrico Fermi and Limerick power stations. His certifications include Swaglok Pressure System Training, CAES Radiological Training, Rad Worker 2, radiological glove box and radiological fume hood. He is a graduate of Madison High School in Rexburg.
