Aaron Weston

Biography:

Aaron Weston currently serves as the leader for nuclear safeguards, security, and nonproliferation strategies within the Nuclear Science & Technology directorate where he is lead on safeguards and security considerations for advanced reactor deployments.  Prior to his current position, Weston served as the Director for Nuclear Energy at the National Security Council and National Economic Council.  He also worked for the Committee on Science, Space, and Technology of the United States House of Representatives where he was lead counsel for oversight and legislation on nuclear and emerging technology matters, including the Nuclear Energy Innovation Capabilities Act of 2017 (Public Law No. 115-248) and the Department of Energy Research and Innovation Act (Public Law No. 115-246).  Weston also worked at a mid-sized law firm and think tank in Washington, D.C.
