Biography:

Jakob Meng is a mechanical and power systems engineer for Idaho National Laboratory. He is engaged in providing engineering support to federal electric grid cyber-incident response projects, designing testbed infrastructure and associated hardware, also design drawings and electrical schematics. He holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Idaho State University and is pursuing a master’s in engineering management and infrastructure security from University of Idaho. He has provided project management and systems engineering support to federal electric grid cyber incident response projects. He has created a proposal for a natural gas “pipeline in a box” cyber incident simulation and training system that includes manual and pneumatically operable automated valves, PLC’s, pressure and flow monitoring instruments, and compression equipment.
