Leslie Ovard is an M&O contractor in the Bioenergy Technologies Office of the Idaho National Laboratory. She has been at the INL since 2006, when she was a proposal and R&D publications specialist for Battelle Energy Alliance. Since 2013 she has been involved with BioenergizeME, the Bioenergy Technology Office’s education and workforce development program for students, educators and anyone seeking to better understand the promises and challenges in developing a thriving bioeconomy. It involves improving public access to information about domestic bioenergy production; supporting educational and vocational programs relevant to sustainable production of biopower, biofuels, and other bioproducts; and engaging future scientists and engineers in developing bioenergy technologies. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English and a master’s in environmental science from University of Idaho.
