Research Areas: Bioenergy Technologies
Biography: Leslie Ovard has been at INL since 2006, when she was a proposal and R&D publications specialist for Battelle Energy Alliance. Since 2013 she has been involved with BioenergizeME, the Bioenergy Technology Office’s education and workforce development program for students, educators and others seeking to better understand the promises and challenges of developing a thriving bioeconomy. BioenergizeME has since evolved to focus on career development, and works to improve public access to information about domestic bioenergy production and related U.S. opportunities. BioenergizeME supports educational and vocational programs relevant to sustainable production of biofuels, bioproducts, and biopower. Leslie holds a Master of Arts degree in English from Idaho State University and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from University of Idaho.
