Biography:

Bo Zhang is a staff scientist specialized in electrical engineering with both industrial and academic experiences. Prior to joining INL, he was a postdoc with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a senior electrical engineer/team lead with State Grid Corporation of China. He received B.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology both in electrical engineering. He has authored more than 20 publication articles and holds/applied six patents. He served as Session Chairs/Topic Chairs for multiple IEEE conferences including ITEC, ECCE, and ICPRE. He is also a Committee Member with SAE J2954 Wireless Power Transfer and Alignment Task Force. His research interests include wireless charging of EVs, EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy integration, industrial power grid.​
