Biography: Rochelle Watson is a systems engineer at Idaho National Laboratory’s Systems Analysis and Engineering Department. Her current projects include implementing an asset management tracking system for laboratory equipment and project managing the advanced manufacturing center initiative for the EES&T Directorate. Prior to joining INL, Rochelle was employed by the Dow Chemical Company for 12 years in a multitude of roles, as an environmental manager, improvement manager, and process engineer. As an environmental manager for a hydrocarbons manufacturing facility she worked with the engineers and technicians to maintain compliance with existing federal/state regulations and air permitting allowances. Her duties include completing periodic reporting, incident root cause investigations, violation resolutions and providing 24/7 facility support. As an improvement manager for the other hydrocarbons manufacturing facility onsite, Rochelle’s memorable projects include replacing a nine cell cooling tower after it collapsed, and working thirteen days straight to support the hydrocarbons facility turnaround. She is currently pursuing an engineering management master’s degree at University of Idaho and holds a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from Michigan Technological University.
