James worked in waste management for two years before moving to the Materials and Fuels Complex Analytical Laboratory, where he has been working for 20 years. He is qualified as an AL general core worker, AL hot cell worker, and glovebox worker. James is the ICP group lead technician and is also qualified to operate the ICP-AES systems, ICP-MS, MC-ICP-MS, and the high resolution gas-MS. He is also capable of performing sample preparation, separations on the manual and automated GPEC systems, and method development of unique sample types. James can verify and validate data produced from junior scientists and technicians. He is qualified to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation.
