Biography:

​Mitchell Greenhalgh is a scientist/engineer in the Aqueous Separations and Radiochemistry Department at Idaho National Laboratory. In this capacity, he supports research projects in aqueous separations and radiochemistry, mainly in the nuclear fuel cycle. He also works on LDRD projects in the INL Research Center (IRC) laboratory, including developing simulation ion exchange resin and research on gas phase reaction.

Mr. Greenhalgh has been with INL more than 10 years. In addition to his work in aqueous separations, he has experience with all types of analytical equipment, has done work at the radioanalytical laboratory at Central Facilities Area (CFA), and has also been involved in engineering design projects. Mr. Greenhalgh helped design the 30-stage contactor pilot plant at Bonneville County Technology Center (BCTC). He holds a B.S. in chemistry from Utah State University. Outside of work, Mr. Greenhalgh is an avid fisherman and also enjoys boating, hiking, and camping.
