Biography:

​Mark Holbrook is a licensing engineer in the Risk Assessment and Management Services Department at Idaho National Laboratory. In this capacity, he works on the licensing of the Next Generation Nuclear Plant (NGNP) project and supports licensing tasks associated with DOE's Advanced Small Modular Reactor (aSMR) activities. His primary focus is the planning and coordination of activities with the NRC in order to submit the licensing application for the NGNP plant. He manages coordination with research and development of NGNP projects, oversees and submits documentation that meets expectations of the NRC, and identifies key policy issues.

Mr. Holbrook has been with INL 31 years and has extensive experience in reactor operations, small modular reactor licensing activities, and NRC projects, including motor operator valve performance. He attended the U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Prototype Training at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory (KAPL). He is a member of the American Nuclear Society.

Outside of work he plays bass guitar, plays golf, and works on motorcycles and cars.
