Biography:
Dr. Hakan Ozaltun is a research scientist in the Fuels Modeling and Simulation Department at Idaho National Laboratory. He is currently serving as engineering scale fuel performance modeling lead for US High Performance Research Reactors Fuel Qualification (HPRR-FQ) program. His specialties are computational and experimental mechanics, nuclear materials, fuels performance modeling, mechanics of materials, irradiation effects, thermo-mechanical performance assessment and failure modes. He received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 from Ohio State University.
