Biography:

Craig Biebel (B.S. in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University) is a design engineer in the Experiment Design department at INL.  In this capacity, he works with test sponsors to design experiments that are irradiated in test reactors for research and development of isotope production, nuclear fuel development, and material science.  In addition to design, he oversees fabrication and assists with final assembly of the experiments.

Mr. Biebel has been in the Experiment Design department since 2010.  He previously spent five years at Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation where he worked as a design engineer and radiological facility maintenance engineer.  He has broad experience in design of a variety of applications related to irradiation experiments such as pressure systems, unique packaging solutions, braze joints, weld joints, and custom seals.  He also holds a Professional Engineer license in the state of Idaho.
