Brian Westphal

Biography:
Brian Westphal is a process engineer in the Pyroprocessing Technology Department at Idaho National Laboratory. In this capacity, he is involved with EBR-II’s spent fuel treatment program in the fuel conditioning facility. He also works on the International Nuclear Energy Research Initiative with South Korea (INERI).
Mr. Westphal has been with INL more than 20 years and has experience in thermal dynamic modeling, metallurgic engineering and materials engineering. He holds an M.S. in metallurgical engineering from Colorado School of Mines. He is a member of The Minerals, Metals and Materials Metallurgic Society (TMS). Outside of work, he enjoys skiing and rafting.
