Biography:

Danielle E. Lower is a team analyst in the Research Operations group of Idaho National Laboratory’s Energy Environment Science & Technology directorate. She holds a master’s in mechanical engineering from Montana State University and a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Idaho. Before joining INL she ​​work​​ed on the calcine disposition with the Idaho Cleanup Project. As a design engineer, she participated in ​​the conceptual design ​of a system capable of retrieving and transporting highly radioactive waste. She performed detailed fluid calculations for Denitration Mineralization Reformer Fluidized Bed Rail Redesign and mock-up testing for a waste treatment facility. She performed safety analysis for pressure safety valve systems for waste treatment facility pressure safety evaluation. She was also a patent examiner where she evaluated patent applications for  originality, completeness, novelty and inventiveness.
