Jing Zhou, Ph.D.

Postdoctoral Research Associate - Geomechanics/Fracturing Using Discrete Element Method

Research Areas:
Fracturing SImulation; Geomechanics

Biography:

Dr. Jing Zhou is a postdoctoral chemical engineer with an interest in geomechanics and fracturing simulation, who has a strong background in subsurface reservoir simulation, hydraulic fracture propagation and inverse modeling. Her Ph.D. research includes the following areas: hydraulic fracture propagation simulation using dual-lattice discrete element method (DEM); generalized multiphysics reservoir simulator for unconventional reservoirs; and data assimilation with ensemble kalman filter (EnKF).

Dr. Zhou had two summer internships at the department of energy resource recovery sustainability, Idaho National Laboratory.
