Sandra Birk, Ph.D.
Relationship Manager/Initiative Lead for DoE EM
Biography: Dr. Sandra M. Birk is a relationship manager and initiative lead at Idaho National Laboratory. She has more than 25 years' experience in the development and management of programs that require a diverse set of engineers and scientists. In the past, she has managed INL’s Yucca Mountain Program and the National Spent Nuclear Fuel Program. She was project lead for new program development in the DOE-NE Fuel Cycle R&D Program for Used Fuel Storage & Transportation, manager of the National Low-Level Waste Program and manager of DOE’s National Accreditation Program. She holds a doctorate in adult education from University of Idaho and a master’s from Washington State University.
