Biography:
David L. Cottle is a longtime researcher/engineer conducting materials characterization at Idaho National Laboratory. He has tested for speed of sound, resonant frequency, specific heat, thermal diffusivity, resistivity, and thermal expansion in a variety of different materials. He earned an associate’s degree in applied science from Idaho State University. Since then, he has provided support for the Reduced Enrichment for Research and Test Reactors (RERTR) program at INL’s Materials and Fuels Complex and helped design and operate optical systems in an acoustic/imaging lab at the INL Research Center.
