Biography:
Dr. Richard N. Wright is a Laboratory Fellow at Idaho National Laboratory and technical lead for the NGNP High Temperature Alloys R&D Program. He is the Metals Working Group Chair of the Gen IV International Forum VHTR Materials Program Management Board; and a member of the Nuclear Energy Enabling Technologies (NEET) Materials Integration Strategic Planning Board. Dr. Wright is a member of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Working Group on Non-Ferrous Alloys and Sub-Group on Materials, Fabrication and Evaluation. He studied metallurgical engineering at Michigan Technological University, where he received his doctorate in 1982. He received a master’s in business administration from Idaho State University in 1998. He became a member of the INL Inventors Hall of Fame in 2007 and was given the INL Laboratory Director's Award for Exceptional Scientific Achievement in 2012.
