Ross Hays
Research Areas:
Environmental Engineering
Biography:
Dr. Ross Hays came to Idaho National Laboratory in 2014 from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC where he performed graduate and postdoctoral research in computational optimization of nuclear fuel cycle alternatives and adaptive model refinement techniques for nuclear transient simulation. Prior to that, he earned bachelor's degrees in chemical engineering and applied mathematics from Northwestern University. He is currently working within the system dynamics and analysis group to advance the state of modeling for both alternative nuclear fuel recycle strategies and biomass feedstock logistics systems in order to best inform decision-makers on benefits and impacts of potential decision strategies.
