Biography:

Brian K. Schuetz is a research chemist at Idaho National Laboratory. He has been involved in experiments on captured airborne particulate matter from the November 2011 incident at Zero Power Physics Reactor, using filters in dissolution rate experiments to determine the apparent dissolution half-life of plutonium and americium in simulated biological fluids. He holds a master’s in botany from University of Idaho and a bachelor’s in chemistry from Idaho State University. His graduate studies in chemistry have had an emphasis on organic mechanisms and synthesis. He is a member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society.
