Biography:

Joel A. Simpson is research scientist at Idaho National Laboratory involved in running and maintaining the servo-hydraulic creep-fatigue lab in support of multiple experimental test programs including the Next Generation Nuclear Plant, the Very High Temperature Reactor and Advanced Research Concepts. He is lab space coordinator in two mechanical test labs, responsible for the state of the lab, safety review, and facility modification interaction, working with management and other scientists. He holds a master’s in geology from University of California at Davis and a bachelor’s in geology and geophysics from University of Minnesota.
