Biography:
DeLon C. Haggard is an Engineering Technical Operation Professional at Idaho National Laboratory. Since 1977 he has been involved in electronics, electronic equipment, diagnostics and testing methods and equipment, mechanical designs and fabrication, and machine shop equipment and tools. He has had extensive involvement with a variety of thermal spray systems, control systems, data acquisition systems all directly related to INL research, currently for the Material Science group.  He is currently involved in assembly and assembly design of reactor experiments for the ATR User Facilities, the NGNP Advanced Graphite Reactor nuclear graphite testing and characterization laboratory, high corrosion resistant nickel alloy development and testing, rare earth metals recovery and recycling for DOE Critical Materials Institute.  He was on an INL team that received an R&D 100 Award in 2001 for development of Super Hard Steel Coatings. He earned his associate’s degree in applied science (electronics technology) from Idaho State University.
