Mohammad S. Roni, Ph.D.

Biography: Dr. Mohammad S. Roni is a computational energy analyst for the Bioenergy and Renewable Energy group at Idaho National Laboratory. He is developing new computational approaches and solutions for biomass transportation, logistics, and supply chain management. He also works on the algae research and development project and international bioenergy market. His research interests include the development and application of operations research and management science methods, to energy, natural resources and the environment.
He received his Ph.D. and Master’s degree in industrial and systems engineering from Mississippi State University in 2013. Roni has published his research in Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment, Annals of Operations Research, Energies, OMEGA-The International Journal of Management Science, Environmental Management , Bioresource Technology. He currently is a reviewer of several academic journals and member of The Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).
