Biography:

Dr. Rami Saeed is a technical lead in the Integrated Energy Systems (IES) program at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL), specializing in developing renewable energy systems of the future to couple nuclear & non-nuclear systems to showcase the mass movement of clean energy in interconnected hybrid & microgrid networks.  At INL, he leads a group of researchers and manages the IES & Nuclear Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) Advanced Reactor Test Platform at EBR-II Dome, Nuclear Industrial Use Requirements, as well as the Thermal Energy Storage Use Case work-packages. Prior to joining INL in 2021, he served for 6+ years in the industry and private sector (Director of Engineering at Phase Change Energy Solutions, and TES Project Manager at GTI Energy) helping capital and commercial projects navigate complex technical landscapes, leading to numerous solutions, products, and 9 patented commercialized technologies in several industries including built environment, power generation, industrial waste heat recovery, life-science, and beyond.

He holds a doctorate degree in Nuclear Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, with an emphasis in energy applications and thermal storage for nuclear and non-nuclear systems.
